This is an interactive website of the US National Youth Anti-Drug media campaign targetting teens. The website provides games, videos, quizzes, information about drugs, an advice section with insights provided by teens, and questions answered by Dr Drew - a physician and addiction specialist known for a radio program and reality t.v. show. The site also showcases photos, podcasts and stories from teen contributors. Addiction and Mental Health Research Laboratory

Alberta Gaming Research Institute

Calgary and Area Addiction Services Guide

The Calgary and Area Addiction Services Guide provides an inventory of services available in the Calgary area to treat addictions and related mental health issues. Canadian Association of Drug Treatment Courts

The objective of Drug Treatment Courts is to reduce substance abuse, crime and recidivism through the rehabilitation of persons who commit crimes to support their substance dependency. CADTC works to support DTC's by raising awareness about DTC's, gathering and sharing evidence regarding the effectiveness of DTC's, and helping to establish best practices in the field. The CCSA is Canada’s national addictions agency. This is a not-for-profit organization supported by the Federal Government through Canada's Drug Strategy that provides evidenced based information on health, social and economic issues related to substance abuse.

The Canadian Network of Substance Abuse and Allied Professionals is the first national Web site developed specifically for Canada’s substance abuse workforce.

Check Your Drinking is an evidence-based 18-item tool that aims to provide customized feedback to individuals to help them to evaluate how their drinking compares  to that of the average person of the same age and gender. The tool has been developed by Evolution Health Systems, Inc., in collaboration with leading researchers in the field. After completing the questions, a tailored feedback report is produced describing the individual's patterns of alcohol use, and the potential risks and consequences of those patterns. The tool has been evaluated and has been shown to be effective in controlled studies.

Institute of Behavioral Research

IBR, based out of Texas Christian University, is aimed as providing evidence-based information and practical tools related to the treatment of substance abuse disorders. Resources of particular interest include resources related to: (1) Mapping-Enhanced Counselling - a cognitive strategy shown to be effective in increasing client motivation, engagement, participation, and retention in treatment; (2) corrections-based treatment; and (3) national evaluations of treatment effectiveness. Streetworks

Streetworks is an Edmonton inner-city agency dedicated to reducing harm and promoting health of inner-city residents and drug users. The non-profit organization provides needle exchange, nursing services, a natural helpers program, referrals, support for local businesses, advocacy, health education, and many other services to support clients to be as healthy as safe as possible.
